2008 Western Regional Festival of Synchronized Skating

General Information
Registration
Please sign in your team at the registration table located inside the main doors and on the main
floor of the Edgeworth Centre prior to your practice time or before 10:30 am on Saturday morning.
Please provide 2 CD’s of each program that are clearly marked with the team name, event, and
length of the program. Please mark which one is for competition and which is for the backup. The
team manager will be responsible for signing the music in and out at the registration table.
Admittance to the Arena
The skaters, coaches and team managers will receive identification ribbons for free admittance.
Parents and friends accompanying the teams will be required to pay admission at the door. The
price of admittance is $5/day or $10 for the all event pass. Children 6 and under are free. CASH
ONLY.
Photographs
A photographer will be set up to take team pictures after each team has skated on Saturday only.
There will be an order form in your registration package.
Vendors
We have vendors coming to the competition to sell skating related items. All except possibly one
will be CASH ONLY.
Logo Clothing
The Camrose Skating Club will be operating the booth selling clothing such as T-shirts, hoodies,
and pants. These items can have the many transfers we have designed for this competition,
ironed on to them. This will also be CASH ONLY.
Raffle Baskets
The community has donated many items for baskets to be raffled off during the competition.
Tickets will be sold on Friday night and Saturday. The draws will be made on Saturday evening.
We will also sell souvenir pins and programs. Again, CASH ONLY.
Concession
Various food and beverages will be on sale in 3 concession areas. Teams are not permitted to set
up food tables anywhere in the building. Concession is also CASH ONLY.
ATM
The Edgeworth Centre does have an ATM in the main foyer.
Competition Results
Results will be posted. One complimentary protocol will be available at the registration desk after
the competition is completed. Additional result sheets may be purchased for a minimal fee.
Off-Ice Practice
Please practice in areas around the complex where you will not interfere with public access to
various rooms in the building. There will be other users in the building especially on Saturday and
Sunday.
Ice Sweeps
The Camrose Skating Club will provide ice sweeps for debris following the performances of each
Pre-juvenile and Juvenile team. All other teams must provide up to 4 skaters to sweep the ice.
Emergency First Aid
First Aid personnel will be available during all ice times.
Safety
Emergency Evacuation Procedures will be provided upon team check in at the event. Please
review it.
Skate Sharpening
Camrose does NOT have any where to sharpen figure skates. We all take our skates to
Edmonton. Please plan accordingly.
FYI
The Camrose Boston Pizza had a fire last week and will NOT be operational during our
competition.
Bus Parking
Busses should park on the North side of the Edgeworth Centre (north of the Max McLean Arena)
in the graveled lot towards the east end.
